Jim Krupp has been a New York Metropolitan Representative since 1964 and has built one of the most formidable rep agencies in the United States. Jim's philosophy in building an agency has been to focus on a balanced line card and to have the team to support the lines that we represent. If we are to service our customers, and to do justice on a job site, then we need to have the breadth of a package to be important to the job as well as to our customers:
"There is no project too large or too small that KTR can't handle. Our goal is to have all categories of lighting, from the parking lot, to the ball room chandlier to recessed lighting and task to provide a one stop shopping experience for our customers to feel confident when sending us to a project, we can fulfill all lighting needs."
Jim's humility, hard work and ethics has kept him on top of his career since the beginning...and this foundation that he has built resonates in each and every member of KTR.
Terence has been in the lighting business since he was 15 years old. His knowledge, his balanced approach, his skill sets have enabled us to grow exponencially as an agency. Terence has honed these skills and has helped with our agency's health care program, our payroll structure, our accounts receivables and our overall foundation of our partnership agreements and corporate structure.
Terence leads our team in the electrical distributor and premium lighting showrooms in the New York Market. He also handles large project work for our agency and is the go to guy for many of his customers in New York.
He is a passionate person, a family man, a devoted husband and father.
Terence lives for God, Family, Work and the Islanders. In the summer months he morphs into an avid Yankee's fan. His passion for life and God is contagious. He loves to travel, he loves to share stories and he is the king of clam bakes.
Owner / Partner / Manufacturer's Representative
Jon has been in the lighting industry since 1997. He started his career at Capitol Lighting in Watchung, NJ and joined KTR as a rep in 2000. Jon has an ingrained desire to always find new ways to improve the selling process and streamline the customer and manufacturer experience has been his main focus since the very beginning of his career. It is one thing to "use" technology, but the key is knowing what makes things tick and how to "integrate" all the noise that exists in today's information and technology age and how to get all of the tools to work together in a harmonious way to makes things better for our customers, our vendors and the members of KTR alike. Jon's main focus is to KTR and our members and making sure that if we are efficient and have all the tools we need, this will trickle down to meeting and exceeding all daily demands:
"I want the members of KTR to have the tools needed to help them do their job more efficiently and accuratly. I want to create a seamless user experience for them...so they can focus on what they do best...but at the same time, set goals, set tasks and set transparency to each other, our customers and our vendors.
I will always seek better methods, better technologies and will invest heavily into our infrastructure to help everyone at my company to maximize effiencies so they can focus more energy on their passions and their customer relationships...and constantly improve the quality of our services, reporting, marketing and feedback to our vendors.
Jon's main goal is to "climb the ladder for his customers" both figuratively and literally. In the earlier days of Jon's career, he lead the territory and guided many of his customers and manufacturer's in redesigning their showroom footprint...creating some of the largest and industry wide impactful display designs. In addition, Jon utilizes all the latest technologies to keep the agency ahead of the curve and is constantly looking for better ways of doing business with KTR's partners. Jon became a junior partner of KTR in 2006 and is now is an owner along with Terence as of 2014.
When not working and while working:
Jon's passions are his devotion to God, his family, his church family, cycling, rock and ice climbing and constantly looking for process improvements in his business.
Manufacturer's Representative (DC Market)
Chris has been in the lighting industry for over 16 years...he is fortunate to see all the sides of the business before joining KTR in 2016...he has worked on the electrical counter side of the business, the lighting showroom side and was formerly a NY rep for Minka as well. Chris has a beautiful family, a desire to make his customers and manufactuer's happy. Chris has a strong presence, an amazing work ethic and wants to over-achieve in nearly everything that he does....
Allison joins the KTR Team with vast lighting knowledge as she has been on all sides of the business. She started in the business in 1979 working in a mall lamp shop while in high school. She then joined a rep agency in DC as an inside sales representative. For the past 20 years she has been the the manager of Dorman's Lighting from Lutherville, MD. Allison is not only passionate about lighting, but she loves the people and forming relationships. She loves to laugh and gets a lot of joy making others laugh as well. She is especially proud of her amazing daugter and "furmom" the Pomeranian and Lilly the crazy cat...
Nunzio "Dino" Patruno
Dino is new to KTR but a veteran in the business. He comes to us with years of experience working with technical lighting and sales as an Inside Sales Manager of WAC Lighting. An accomplished sales, support, and financial professional possessing extensive experience in client service, customer and client support, sales, credit and financial management. A strong and motivated leader who is able to set effective priorities to achieve immediate and long term corporate goals, as well as overall client satisfaction. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and a commitment to establishing secure, confidential relations with clientele. Results-oriented professional with a positive and energetic attitude; eager to take on new challenges and able to adapt rapidly to changing business parameters no matter the situation.
When not working, Dino is a family man and an avid baseball fan...
Kevin is a renaissance man. He holds many hats at KTR because he is good at so many things that we tend to pile things on and he will keep on keeping on. Kevin's strengths are: computer skills, updating backend infrastructure at KTR, training (not only our staff but our customers), his personality is flawless and is a dedicated / hard working member of our group. More than anything, you will find that Kevin's attitude and overall demeanor is the epitome of humilty. His geniune character and integrity are a few of what makes Kevin Liu not only an incredible partner in business, but also a friend to all.
Kevin applies his hunger for life to his relatoinships and would give the shirt off his back for the people he loves. Kevin has unmatched technical skills and in many ways manages many of the builds we do as an agency and also manages all of our on site service needs. As an agency, we feel that service comes first and Kevin takes the lead in this massively important portion of our business. He is the "cleaner" and makes everything work in the end...which is what matters most right? Knowing the complexity of lighting fixtures and the handling of lighting, not having a skilled artisan making everything perfect in the end user's house or in the showroom is a crime. Kevin's role at KTR is multifaceted and fills many many needs that we have to keep this engine roaring...

We are so proud to have Aldo a part of the KTR team. Aldo, comes to us with years of experience in the lighting industry working in a lighting store for over 15 years. He has an eye for merchandising and a hard working ethic. Our customers love working with Aldo as he is professional, courteous and goes the extra mile in every way.
Aldo is a proud father and devoted husband and is an accomplished martial artist as a third degree black belt in Taekwondo.
Timie Kozaryn (aka MOM) joined KTR in 2010 and comes to us with years of dedicated service and relationships in the lighting industry... Her main quality that Timie posses is: her heart! Yes, Timie's heart is possibly her greatest quality. Her loyalty and love is boundless for her dear family, her agency, her industry and to her friends... Timie is the perfect fit into the KTR family and we are so proud of her and to have her with us...

Dave Bock is the proudest father's you will meet...he has two beauties under his watch and is a devoted husband. At work Dave is possibly one of the most efficient people you will meet. Dave is sharp as a tack, doesn't miss a beat and never fails at any industry tests. Dave has filled the shoes of a industry legend at many of his accounts in NY and Long Island and is doing a great job. In many ways, like Jim Krupp who has an olympic athelete, highly driven and highly competitive, Dave encompasses those same qualities. Competitive sports are something that is in ones DNA. It is one thing to play or try to play baseball or football or any competitive sport, but it is another thing to be good at it as well. Dave plays on soft ball leagues and loves to show off his scabs on his legs from sliding into home plate. Furthermore, Dave's other passions are boundless and he is the best fantasy football partner anyone could ask for. He not only understands the mechanics of the sport, but he understands the statistics and the strategy and always seems to be in the top 3 of fantasy football year after year...scary good. Taking that quality from his passion at sports, he has done the exact same thing in our business. In his early years, he watched everyone and didn't say much and just observed and humbly nodded or took a "mental" note. (he has a memory of an elephant)...he is not applying all those years and is doing things better than ever before. He is highly efficient, highly skilled and highly motivated to "win". These are the qualities of a heavy hitter in the lighting business. Dave has an insanely bright future ahead.
Ruben Vargas is dedicated to his faith, his family and his work. He is an "all in" personality into everything he does. Ruben is organized both in and out of work and prides himself in all that he does. Ruben is a man after God's own heart and you can see that in everything he does. Ruben has amazing focus and overall perspective on things. Don't let his empathy and humility fool you though, Ruben is a piranha underneath it all...LOL :) Ruben is an incredible, roll up your sleeves and jump in, guy. He gets shoulder to shoulder with his customers and there really isn't anything Ruben can't do. He has a profound desire to not only understand the product inside and out, but he desires to understand people and what makes you tick and wants to not only provide you with lighting needs, but wants to bond with people on a different level and is geniune to his core. Can't say enough about this man, except for the fact that being around him makes us all better people.
Quotation Department Manager
Richie Chetram is in charge of KTR's quotation department and handles all of our internal sales, projects and quotations. He is accurate, fast and even though quiet, he will assert himself "but in a gentle way". :) Richie's heart is in his work, but his real passion is for fast cars, family and loves to travel. We are proud to have Richie a part of our team and his loyalty and love for KTR shows in his work!!!
Anne Marie Lugo
Anne Lugo....we are so so so proud to have Anne Lugo apart of our team. Anne comes to us with many many many dedicated years in the lighting industry and she doesn't look at day over 18. "we are being serious about that". Anne is amazing at her work, extraordinarily professional, a listener and has an amazingly vast knowlege of not only how the industry works, but also what people need and she goes out of her way to help customers with all of their needs. Anne has always struck me...oh yeah this is Jon writing this, as one of the more professional and engaged people I have met in the business. When she worked for Lee's Studio in New York City, one of the things that always impressed me was her "balanced" approach to business. She would always see things from all sides and always take that into account. When working with Anne, you must know that she "always" sees things from all sides and from that foundation, her decisions are spot on...
